One of our guest lecturers for our Human Computer Interaction courses was Per Ola who created a piece of software for better text input on touchscreen mobile devices:
I think it is a very novel product and could be extended to the desktop also perhaps using an OLED touch-screen – as well as touch-screen surfaces! The problem is still the haptic feedback…
I had a lecture on Tuesday from my supervisor Dr. Xiang Cao about Human Computer Interaction. He discussed a multi-touch mouse that is being developed using similar technology to the Surface (i.e. Infra red cameras).
However this seems to have rather timely, been beaten when Apple brought out a new multi-touch mouse that very day!
Not called the iMouse though – magIcMouse in stead!
